Lofitorsk AS is is registrated in Tromsø. The Consolidation arised in 2006, by the merging of Lofilab AS in Lofoten and Storfjord Torsk AS in Troms.
Lofitorsk AS controls the entire production chain, starting in Lofoten by creating quality juveniles, ending up in Storfjord where nutritious feeding ensures a valuable product.
The Company collaborates with Norfra Export in Tromsø concerning marketing and sales. Emissions made in mai 2006 and summer 2007 provided the largest ownership between respectively Norfra AS, Tromsø, NorInnova AS, Tromsø and Berg Partner Havbruk, Gratangen.

Long traditions within marine breeding
- Lofilab AS was established in 1986, for the purpose of aqua cultural R&D.
- The juvenile cod production commenced in 1989. The idea of self providing eggs and fry became real, and in 1994 we began building our own brood stock.
- Storfjord Torsk AS was established in 2003. The Company emerged from Norfra Torsk, and continued the experiences made in breeding fish as far back as 1995.
- Storfjord Torsk AS acquired in 2006 the permits, production facilities and the staff from Norfra Torsk.
- Lofitorsk AS was established in 2006. It is a holding company that preserves the shares of Lofilab AS and Storfjord Torsk AS

Lofitorsk AS holds a third generation of quality brood stock, ready to spawn in 2008. We are self providers of eggs and fry, a massive merit concerning the difficulty that lies in obtaining quality fries.

The Company has, through one of our owners ,NorInnova, established close relations towards highly skilled environments within R&D, regarding breeding of cod.

Further on, Lofitorsk AS has developed a system of keeping the fish penned, dramaticly reducing the risk of escape.
